One day in Brooklyn...
We spent one day in Brooklyn, in New York, during the holidays, and it was amazing !
First, we crossed the most famous bridge of New York, the Brooklyn Bridge, from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Then, we saw a cityscape which was different from what we saw before. There were beautiful churches, great shops, big fastfoods, lots of cars (of course, it's New York), and buildings smaller than what we saw in Manhattan, but very nice ! There were also little areas where we could see little red houses, very cute and typical of America. It was like in movies !
After that, we decided to go to the beach, in Coney Island, which is the lowest point of Brooklyn. Therefore, we took the tube, which was more difficult than in Paris ! Sometimes, you don't know where you go, because there are express lines, which go to the South or to the North. Quite strange...
We arrived in Coney Island, and it was like : "OUAHHH !". It was amazing ! I could see the largest beach I had ever seen, with fastfoods and shops. The seaside was fabulous !Then, we decided to go and swim, but there, water is quite cold. In fact, it is the Atlantic Ocean. However, the water was very clear and the weather was nice. We ate in Nathan's, which is one of the oldest fastfoods in New York (look at the map to see the adress and the website).
We were going to come back, when we stumbled on a very big amusement park. What a luck !
To conclude, although Brooklyn is different from the other areas of New York, it is really a must-see !!
